Castlerahan GFC Innagural Golf Classic on 24th/25th May [Posted 5th March]

The club are hosting a Golf Classic in Crover House Golf club, Co. Cavan on Friday
24th and Saturday 25th of May, this is the first time the club has used this
increasingly popular method of fundraising. Teams of 4 cost €200 and
further information can be recieved from Denis Lynch, Philip Coleman,
Michael Callaghan, Breen McInerney or John McGinn.

50/50 Club Draw Launched on 28th February 2002 [Posted 4th March]

The main fund raiser which helps in the day to day running of the club is the 50/50 draw. Entrance to the draw is €10 per month, with 50% of all money taken being given out in prizes.  

Draw prizes per month are 2 x €200 and 4 x €100.

To launch the draw an extra raffle was held for all fully subscribed members. The winners were as follows :

Club Dinner Dance held on 15th February 2002

Castlerahan held a night of celebration for the on field achievements in 2001 with the Annual Dinner Dance and presentation of medals in the newly refurbished Carraig Springs on Friday 15th February. Mr. George Cartwright Chairman of the Cavan Co. Board spoke first and praised the team’s efforts in 2001 having captured the Intermediate Championship and Division 3 league title. Vice-Chairman of the Cavan Co. Board Mr. Pauric Mahon also praised the club and presented the medals to the panel of players. As an appreciation of their efforts and commitment throughout the year the players made a presentation to the management team. Both are looking forward to a successful year ahead in the Senior Championship and Division 2 of the league. John Clarke received the Senior player of the year award with Johnny Lynch receiving the Junior player of the year. Mr. Aidan O’Reilly Chairman of the Castlerahan/Denn Ladies football team presented runner up medals to the ladies team.
